View overlooking an old taconite mining site from the top of a man-made land-fill hill. Evelyth is located in the mining area of Minnesota called the "Iron Range". Taconite is a black magnetic iron-bearing ore.

We took a driving (and golfing) vacation to Northern Minnesota, June 30 - July 7 2001 and saw amazing scenery and sights.
